On 28th June 2014, the morning was calm and sunny. Four of us turned up (i.e. Sam, Bingrong, Tony and John) and Shibao was kind enough to lent his big van to transport some of the goods back to our Centre’s cupboard. He could have helped us if he hadn’t injured his back at the time (all healed now). Half way through, the heaven opens with a mini tropical storm and 2 inches of rain fell in less than couple of minutes! We transported several trailer loads of rubbish to Milton dump yard many times. It was very helpful that Tony brought his trailer along, otherwise it would have been impossible to clear all those unwanted items in a day. We only had two small umbrellas, badly trusted the weather forecast to be sunny, but managed to find some made-shift covering (see pictures). The whole process took us about 4-5 hours to finish.
At the time, we all thought why are we here! Fortunately, those thoughts disappeared as the weather improved later. Anyway, we did it eventually and now we don’t have to pay any extra storage cost; so all in all, it is worth doing for the Centre!
