Chinese New Year Gala Performance Comes to Cambridge 30 January

The performance of ‘Cultures of China • Festival of Spring’ is sponsored by the Chinese Overseas Chinese Federation. Since 2009, the show has visited 176 countries to dazzle audiences while promoting the Chinese New Year culture.
During their 2018 visit to Cambridge, they turned the Cambridge Guildhall into an ocean to celebrate the Chinese New Year. 


For 2020, ‘Cultures of China • Festival of Spring’ will return with the same high quality and imagination. The performances will come from the China Ethnic Song & Dance Ensemble, National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts, the Chinese Acrobatic Troupe, and the National Centre for the Performing Arts.Highlights including Yin Xiumei, a famous Chinese soprano singer, and Wang Kai, from the National Centre for the Performing Arts and elegant music ensemble “Sound into the Heart”. 

The above three pictures are the programs of the China Ethnic Song & Dance Ensemble ‘Fish Leaping Dragon Gate Backgammon’, ‘The Return of the Horse’ and ‘Water Color’, which will be performed this year.
