As our membership numbers continue to grow, our committee members have decided that we need a larger venue and more time to fit in all the exciting new activities that we intend to run. From the 6th July 2014 we will be meeting in the Main Hall at Queen Edith\u2019s Primary School instead of the Sports Hall. So the address and Post Code remain as before but we will be in the Main Hall nearest to the entrance gate.<\/p>\n
From this date we will be running a six hour program from 11am through to 5pm every Sunday with the exception of main public holidays e.g. Christmas and Easter. This longer time means we can structure our classes more effectively throughout the six hour period and so reduce clashes between different groups working at the same time. With a structured program members will also be able to come along when their main activity is in session. We would like to stress that everyone is welcome to come along and try these Chinese activities and there is no restriction to any nationality, gender, class or age group. In fact you are welcome to come along if you just want a chat and a cup of tea.<\/p>\n

\nChinese Traditional Dance Children\u2019s class \uffe120 per child for 10 sessions, to be paid after your first free trial session.<\/p>\n
2:30 \u2013 5:00 pm
\nChinese Traditional Dance Adult class \uffe12 per head per session (may participate in future performances)…<\/p>\n
2:00 \u2013 3:00 pm
\nBeginners Wing Chun Class \uffe18 per head per session. (UK South Region Wing Chun Association)<\/p>\n

Elderly members or anyone registered with a disability are exempt from any fee.<\/p>\n
We feel these fees are very competitive and compare favourably with those of other organisations in our area. It is only because our instructors have a willingness to impart their skills, knowledge and commitment for the benefit of our Chinese Community that we are able to offer these low course prices.<\/p>\n
Although our Community is a registered Charity it receives no funding from Central Government and relies entirely on local sponsors and money raised by the various activities organised by dedicated members who give their time freely. To date we have an active Badminton club that meets every Saturday evening and a Dance Group that performs at events in Cambridge and East Anglia. Both have contributed funds to our Community with members giving their time for their own enjoyment and to the benefit of us all.<\/p>\n
As already indicated if you are not interested in attending any of the above classes, but just need some friendly company with a chat and perhaps a cup of tea or to see what we can offer; then you are more than welcome. For the future we have plans to set up more activities such as table-tennis, calligraphy, chess, children\u2019s Chinese language and many more.
