2017 Chinese New Year is fast approaching. After all of the tireless efforts, our New Year celebration entered the countdown stage. CCCC associates with artists from Jiangsu province culture department would like to take this opportunity to invite you to celebrate this traditional Chinese festival and welcome the arrival of the Year of the Rooster!
The new year celebration will be held at 1:30 pm on 21 January 2017 at Netherhall School Atrium (Queen Ediths Way, Cambridge, CB1 8NN). The event will be warmly celebrated by hundreds of locals.

A festival event cannot be full without a great meal. We have arranged a formal dinner in one of the old university colleges and the details of the dinner booking are given below.

Highlight 5、Impossible, the breath-taking magic show
This year, we are proud to present Chinese magician, Si Wang to present his unbelievable magic show. Si Wang is a very talented magician who not only graduated from a top University – UCL, but has also won numerous international magic awards. He is the first Chinese magician who has been honoured with the title ‘Associate of The Inner Magic Circle with Silver Star’ by the UK “The Magic Circle”. At this new year gala, What magic will he deliver to us? Let us wait and see!
Highlight 6、Beautiful and Elegant Ballet from King Slocombe dance group.
When one thinks of ballet, one always thinks of ballet dancers’ passionate, graceful and flexible dancing – It is so beautiful. This New Year’s Gala, we present ballet dancers from King Slocombe dance group who will show their wonderful dance skills. Definitely something not to be missed.
Highlight 7、An award winning British band – Fred’s House
Fred’s House are an award winning band based in Cambridge. Mixing elements of Folk, Pop, Country, Classic Rock and West Coast with a definite vintage feel to their music, echoing the 70’s but creating a fresh new sound that is very much part of now. They are frequently invited by BBC music, Amazing Radio Wales, BBC radio 2 to do live shows. With over 500 gigs under their belt, the band will absolutely rock the night!
